I got this text from my dad:

"Evan did a great job, but didn't get picked."

He is in line right now! There are 3 rows in front of him. Pray for his nerves!

Update #2

Dad said about 50 people have actually been told yes so far to go to the next round of auditions. I'm not sure how many sections have actually auditioned so far. Evan has about another 2-3 hours to wait until it is his turn. Dad said Evan is doing well!

American Idol UPDATE

I got a text from Evan and my dad this morning. They got in line at 5:15 this morning. Evan sent me a pic of his place in line, although its very small.


Dad said they got into the stadium about 8 am this morning. There are 10-15 thousand people there. Dad said it is very loud and fun! They are sitting in section 14 and there are 6 sections after them. For the first round of auditions, there are 12 tables set up on the floor, and 4 people line up at the table at a time. They sing their song, then they either stay or go home! Dad sent me the picture below...

American Idol!

Yes its true! My brother Evan is trying out for American Idol this weekend! If you think of it, be praying for his nerves and that this would be an awesome experience for him!

I just talked with my Dad and he said that they arrived in Omaha, Nebraska last night and went straight in to register. I guess auditions don't actually start until tomorrow, but you have to pre-register and have a wrist band. So they are just chilling out today. I hope to post updates as I receive them to keep all of you updated. Hopefully he will be on his way to Hollywood!
