Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters.

"How can I pray for you this week?"

I never thought those words would stop me in my tracks, but last night they did. In fact, they actually surprised me. Why? I believe in prayer, I'm a prayer warrior myself. But, I haven't been asked that question in months from someone who truly means every single word. I found myself pausing before I answered. I couldn't give a quick response to someone who truly desired to know what I needed prayer for. That's kind of when it hit me that I haven't even stopped to ask myself that lately. I've been praying my own 'soft' prayers.

Ephesians 6:13-18 (MSG) says, "Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out."

So who is praying for you today? Who are you praying for?
