Nails On A Chalkboard

One of my favorite things about myself are my feet...I think (well taken care of) feet are beautiful.

The thing I hate most in this world, is the sound of feet rubbing on carpet. I DETEST that sound! It is like nails on a chalk board for me. I am getting chills just writing about that horrible horrible sound. I think my ears have "feet on carpet" super powers. The moment a person takes off their socks and shoes and starts walking my ears immediately hear it. My dad and Evan were the worst at dragging their feet as they walked and that grating sound would pierce my ears. Matt has only done it a few times (I think he learned pretty quickly). This is the reason why I own a dozen pairs of flip flops. I wear them all of the time, just so my own precious feet don't have to be exposed to that horrible carpet! If it so happens that I take off my shoes and my flip flops are across the room, I have to lightly run on my tip toes just so I don't make that sound.

Some of you are probably reading this and thinking, "Seriously!?!" Yes! Seriously! I know, I am weird. But, I bet you will start to notice that sound now too! :)

  1. That's so funny! John hates the sound of typing on the computer...which is no fun for me an e-mail junky. I do all my typing when he's not home.

I get the weird sound aversion. I promise to always wear shoes around you ;-)

  2. Hey, I just got a manicure yesterday for $9! Ruth's daughter is going to school up here in Kenosha and they offer lots of services for super cheap, pedi's are $19, hopefully going soon for one of those. You can't beat it! Unless you do it yourself of course, but who wants to do that?
