Oreo Truffles
1 bag of regular sized Oreos crushed, mix with 1 softened bar of cream cheese;
Form into balls and cool in fridge on wax paper;
Remove from fridge and smooth into nice looking balls;
Dip in regular melting chocolate (brown, or white);
Cool in fridge on wax paper;
Serve and Enjoy!
1 batch makes about 18-24 depending on how small/large you make them.
Instead of Oreos, try McVities Digestive biscuits, Cadburys Chocolate powder and plain yoghurt
ReplyDeleteCrumble biscuits, add yoghurt to get it moist, easy to spoon and chocolate powder to taste, heat it in a sauce pan till it lets off steam stirring all the time, when it cools, roll into balls and roll the balls in chocolate sprinkles
Add chopped almonds to the mix or orange extract to get the really special effect, the smoother the mixture, the more like top quality fudge it tastes
In England we call them romballs
Anna,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the variation on these truffles! I am not sure what McVities Digestive biscuits are or what the equivalent would be here in the states...are they like a cookie?
MMHMM.
