1st Time Voter

Today I voted for the very first time!  I honestly had a "who cares" attitude going into it.  I was on the phone with my mom when I had pulled into the parking lot of the voting place and said, "There are a ton of people here...is that bad if that deters me from voting?"  Without hesitation she said "Yes!".  I was filling in my vote when the magnitude of what I was doing hit me.  This IS important!  My vote DOES count!  I had heard that in one of the past two elections the president only won by 500 or so votes!  Every vote counts!

Redefining Vogue was this weekend and it was a huge success!  77 moms and daughters showed up.  It was really cool to have them both listening to the important message of modesty, purity and womanhood.  Satan definitely was attacking time and time again...up until the very start of the event.  And he continues to place those little lies in my head that certain things could have been better.  But the truth is, there were about 50 young women who heard that they are defined by God and that is where their worth lies.  Thanks for those of you who were praying!

  2. Yay! Glad the weekend went well. I was thinking about you and your mom and how cool it is that you are doing ministry together... in a round-about way.
Thanks again for such a fun weekend!

  3. Good job for voting. I almost didn't go too... I didn't want to drag the kids there and wait in line forever. My dad ended up helping me out with the boys so I could go solo. The wait wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. The results of the elections were a little disappointing, but God's Will will be done no matter who is in office.
Glad to hear the Redefining Vogue event went so well. I'm in the process of planning an event here in Indy w/ your mom speaking in Jan. I'm so psyched! If you have any event planning tips let me know!
